Presentation
In Nature project is developed within the frame
of Leonardo da Vince Programme. It aims to create a new professional
profile as “Nature and Rural Realm Interpreter”. This
definition contributes to arise a new activity to promote development
and employment in rural areas.
The representatives of the different partners compose the Transnational
Association. The starting point is the same worries, but from
different points of view. This fact was concluded by IRMA SL (project’s
promoter) by the elaboration of the proposal, which, finally,
turned into the pilot project.
IN NATURE started with the first Transnational meeting, which
took place in León during November 2004. Different activities
will be developed to disseminate the project, as well as the sessions
and meetings taking place in the partners’ countries.
The project aims to target different groups of people involved
in Natural and Cultural Heritage Interpretation. Many times the
word Interpreter appears associated to the guide but its role
and activities go beyond that. Among the projects final objectives,
a handbook for trainers in this field will be elaborated. Through
the collaboration among the partners and the cooperation with
several technicians and experts, the different training modules
will be elaborated, ending in the structure for the final handbook.
Once the training modules are finished, this itinerary will be
tested with a group of students in the different countries.
